V. Amuthavalli, born on 10 May 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2005 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds an M.Sc. and an M.B.A. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Deputy Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Director Cum Mission, and Commissioner. Currently, he is the Commissioner at Chennai in the Social Welfare Department, a position he has held since 10 July 2023. He continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Tamil Nadu.
