Upma Srivastava, an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 batch of the Sikkim cadre, served in various capacities including Secretary of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment from December 2021 to July 2023. She holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration, a B.Sc. in Physics, and an M.Sc. in Statistics from Lucknow University. Throughout her career, she has held multiple positions such as Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, Chief Vigilance Officer, Resident Commissioner, and Deputy Secretary. She retired from service after a distinguished tenure in the IAS.
