Uma Shankar, born on 29 October 1975, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2015 batch, Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E/B.Tech degree in Textile Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Director in the Rural Development and Panchayats Department, Punjab, a position he has held since 3 March 2025. Throughout his career, Uma Shankar has held various roles including Special Secretary, Director, Additional Chief Executive Officer, and Deputy Commissioner. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
