Uma Mukherjee, born on 20 September 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Director, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary in the Social Welfare Department from 30 April 2012 to 30 September 2012. Throughout his career, Mukherjee contributed to the administration of West Bengal until his retirement.
