Uma Mahadevan, born on 24 September 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch, Karnataka cadre. She holds a B.A. and M.A. and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, she serves as the Additional Chief Secretary to Government-cum-Development Commissioner at Karnataka since 31 July 2024. Her extensive career includes roles such as Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Member Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Officer on Special Duty, Under Secretary, Director, Assistant Commissioner, and Additional Chief Secretary. She continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
