Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh, born on 12 August 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2008 Karnataka cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Allahabad University. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi since 1 January 2026. His previous roles include Secretary (E-Governance), Special Commissioner, Special Secretary, Commissioner Director, Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Commissioner, Sr. Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, and Managing Director. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Kannada.
