U Swaroop, born on 21 July 1984, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2011 batch, assigned to the West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electronics from Anna University. Currently, he serves as Director with additional charge of Managing Director at Biswa Bangla Corporation since 16 July 2021. His past roles include Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Executive Magistrate, Assistant Magistrate, Director and Member Secretary. Proficient in English, Tamil, and Bengali, U Swaroop continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
