U K Mukhopadhyay, born on January 26, 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1967 Maharashtra cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Geology and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Additional Collector, Assistant Collector, Managing Director, Deputy Controller, Joint Secretary, Additional Commissioner, Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Consultant. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs, Maharashtra. Mukhopadhyay's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the state government.
