Thomas Mathew, born on May 9, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Kerala cadre. He served in the President's Secretariat as Additional Secretary from July 15, 2013, to July 24, 2017. His extensive career includes roles such as Joint Secretary, Director, Managing Director, Private Secretary, District Collector, and Sub-Divisional Officer. Academically, he holds a postgraduate degree in International Relations, an M.Phil. in International Affairs, and a Ph.D. in Security Relations. Throughout his service, he contributed to various administrative capacities before retiring from the IAS.
