Tarkendra Vaishnav, born on 23 October 1948, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 batch, Uttarakhand cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Managing Director, District Magistrate, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Commissioner & Secretary in the Information and Broadcasting Department from 30 August 2003 to 31 October 2008. Throughout his career, Vaishnav contributed to the administration of Uttarakhand until his retirement.
