Tapan Ray, born on September 9, 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch, Gujarat cadre. He held the position of Managing Director at GIFT City. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, and Assistant Collector. He holds degrees in LL.B. Law, B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering, and a Diploma. Mr. Ray is proficient in Bengali, English, German, Gujarati, and Hindi.
