Tapan Kumar Shome, born on May 8, 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Managing Director, Director, and District Magistrate. His most recent position was Director in the Department of Land Records and Survey, held from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2013. Throughout his career, Shome contributed to administrative functions within his cadre until his retirement.
