Tanvi Garg, born on January 6, 1985, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 batch, AGMUT cadre. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, she serves as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in New Delhi since January 1, 2026. Her previous roles include Director, Deputy Secretary, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary & Director, Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Additional Director, Additional Labour Commissioner, and Managing Director. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Tanvi Garg remains in active service.
