T P Rajesh, a 2004 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, was born on April 17, 1963. He holds a P.G. in Forestry from the Indian Institute of Forest Management and an M.A. in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Special Officer, and Managing Director. He was awarded Best District Collector for 2015-2016 in Krishnagiri. His most recent position was Commissioner at the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from November 8, 2021. He is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
