Syed Jawaid Haider, born on December 3, 1965, is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Physics, along with a Certificate in Computers from IGNOU. Currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the Energy and Petrochemicals Department at Gandhinagar since August 1, 2024, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, and Deputy Secretary. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
