Syamal Kumar Das, born on March 26, 1948, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch of the West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Assistant Commissioner, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Director, Joint Secretary, and District Collector. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Finance Department, held from January 15, 2008, to March 31, 2008. Throughout his career, Das contributed to multiple administrative roles within the state government before retiring from service.
