Sweta Agarwal, born on 26 June 1987, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2016 batch, allocated to the West Bengal cadre. She holds a postgraduate degree in Public Policy and Management with a focus on Finance. Throughout her career, she has served in various capacities including Assistant Magistrate and Collector, Officer on Special Duty, Assistant Secretary, Joint Secretary, Sub Divisional Officer, Director, and Additional District Magistrate. As of 19 March 2026, she is serving as the District Magistrate of Purba Bardhaman. She continues to be an active member of the Indian Administrative Service.
