Swami Singh, born on March 15, 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Sub Divisional Officer, Additional District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, District Magistrate, Director, and Special Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary of the Backward Classes Welfare Department from July 2, 2007, to January 31, 2008. Singh’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the West Bengal government.
