Surjit Singh Rajput, born on October 6, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.A. in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director & Secretary, Managing Director, Secretary, Special Secretary, Commissioner, Additional Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner. His most recent role was Secretary of the Local Self Government Department from July 21, 2010, to October 31, 2011. Mr. Rajput's extensive experience spans multiple leadership positions within the Punjab administration.
