Surjit Kumar Chaudhary, born on 15 December 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.A. and a postgraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Chairman, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Special Secretary, Commissioner, Director, Chief Executive Officer, District Collector, and other administrative roles. His most recent position was Secretary of the Chemicals and Petro Chemicals Department from 1 October 2014 to 31 December 2015. Mr. Chaudhary's extensive experience spans multiple leadership and executive roles within the government.
