Dr. Surendra Kumar Bagde, born on 19 March 1969, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1993 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.E. and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania. Currently, he serves as the Director General in the Department of Good Governance under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, New Delhi, since 25 October 2024. His extensive career includes roles such as General Manager, Secretary, Director, CEO, Managing Director, District Collector, Project Officer, Assistant Collector, Additional Secretary, and Private Secretary to a Minister. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
