Dr. Surendra Kumar Bagde, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1993 Maharashtra cadre batch, was born on March 19, 1969. He holds a B.E. and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania. Currently serving as Director General in the Department of Good Governance under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions since October 25, 2024, Dr. Bagde has held various positions including General Manager, Secretary, Director, CEO, Managing Director, District Collector, Project Officer, Assistant Collector, and Additional Secretary. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
