Suranjana Ray, born on July 11, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. She holds degrees in Political Science, Mathematics, and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, and Joint Secretary. Her most recent role was Additional Chief Secretary in the BC, MBC and Minorities Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh from September 30, 2013, to July 31, 2016. She has also held positions such as Managing Director, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Additional Development Commissioner.
