Supriya Kar, born on February 11, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional District Magistrate, multiple terms as Joint Secretary, and was on compulsory wait at one point. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Agriculture Department from January 24, 2003, to February 28, 2006.
