Sunil S. Chavan, born on 24 May 1964, is a 2007 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.Sc. degree and has served in various capacities including Agril Commissioner, District Collector, Joint Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, and Additional Commissioner. Currently, he is the Secretary at Mumbai in the Soil and Water Conservation Department, a position he assumed on 20 October 2023. Throughout his career, he has received awards for Excellence in District Skill Development Planning. Sunil S. Chavan continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
