Sunil Paliwal, an IAS officer of the 1993 Tamil Nadu cadre, was born on 25 November 1968. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Inland Waterways Authority of India under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, New Delhi, a position he has held since 20 November 2025. His extensive career includes roles such as Chairperson, Managing Director, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Executive Director, District Collector, Controller, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
