Sunil Kumar Gupta, born on December 5, 1963, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Currently, he serves as Secretary to the Vice President at the Vice President's Secretariat in New Delhi, a position he assumed on August 17, 2022. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, District Magistrate, and Excise Commissioner. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
