Sunil Kumar Bhargava, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1984 batch from the Odisha cadre, was born on March 26, 1959. He holds a B.A. Honours, M.A., and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Delhi. Over his career with the Government of Orissa, he served in various capacities including Principal, Resident Commissioner, Secretary, Director, Special Secretary, Additional Resident Commissioner, Project Director, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, Rehabilitation Officer, Managing Director, S.D.O., and Charge Officer. His most recent position was Chief Resident Commissioner Secretary from November 7, 2014, to March 31, 2019. He is now retired.
