Sunil Kumar, born on 15 October 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Sociology and a graduate degree in Political Science. Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Director General, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary in the Panchayati Raj Department from 16 December 2019 to 31 October 2023. Sunil Kumar’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Uttar Pradesh government.
