Sunaina Tomar, born on December 1, 1965, is a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre. She holds a graduate degree in Geography and an M.A. in Psychology. Currently, she serves as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government in the Education Department (Higher and Technical Education) at Gandhinagar since July 31, 2024. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, District Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
