Sumita Misra, born on 30 January 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1990 Haryana cadre. She holds a B.A. from Lucknow University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. Currently, she serves as the Additional Chief Secretary & Financial Commissioner at Haryana’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department since 28 January 2026. Her extensive career includes roles such as Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Transport Commissioner, Chief Electoral Officer, and Deputy Commissioner. She has been honored with the Republic Day Honours in 2018 and the Chandigarh Sahitya Academy Award. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
