Sumit Sattawan, born on October 2, 1987, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2015 batch, Assam Meghalaya cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Commissioner at Tinsukia, Assam, a position he has held since December 26, 2025. Prior to this, he has experience as a District Commissioner. He continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to administrative functions within his cadre.
