Sumit Kumar Rai, born on 29 December 1990, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2019 batch, assigned to the West Bengal cadre. He holds an M.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering from ISM Dhanbad. Currently, he serves as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) at Hooghly, a position he has held since 23 March 2026. Prior to this, he worked as an Additional District Magistrate. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
