Sumit Gupta, born on 12 August 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2009 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Com. degree from Delhi University. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Assistant Collector and Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Executive Magistrate, Joint Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer of DLRS, Municipal Commissioner, and DM & Collector. Currently, he is serving as the Secretary at West Bengal in the Disaster Management Department since 23 March 2026. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
