Sumer Singh Gurjar, born on 23 June 1973, is a 1998 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. degree and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently serving as Principal Secretary at Punjab since 26 May 2023, he is also associated with the Election Commission of India. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, Director, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and Assistant Commissioner. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
