Sumant Sahay, born on January 17, 1988, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2016 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from SASTRA University, Tamil Nadu. Currently, he serves as Special Secretary in the Department of Information Technology and Electronics, with additional charge as Managing Director of WEBEL, effective January 1, 2025. His previous roles include Officer on Special Duty, Joint Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, Assistant Secretary, and Managing Director. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to various administrative capacities within the government.
