Sukumar Sarkar, born on 17 February 1945, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Controller, Additional District Magistrate, Director, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Labour Department, from 1 January 2002 to 28 February 2005.
