Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, born on 06/07/1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.A., M.A. in History, and an M.B.B.S. in Medicine from Guru Nanak Dev University. His extensive career includes roles such as Chief Secretary to Government, Principal Secretary, Secretary, District Magistrate, and Managing Director. He was awarded the President of India Medal for services during the Census of India and named Manager of the Year 2000 as Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. Most recently, he served as Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India from 15/03/2024.
