Sujata Sharma, born on 15 July 1976, is a 2006 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. She holds a B.Sc. from Delhi University, an M.Sc., and a Ph.D. from CCS University Meerut. Currently, she serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, New Delhi (since 12 December 2022). Her previous roles include Secretary and Special Secretary in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Special Commissioner, Additional CEO, District Collector and District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner (CT), Secretary to Commissioner, Project Director, Deputy Secretary, Sub Collector, and Assistant Collector. She is proficient in English and Hindi.
