Subrata Biswas, born on January 20, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 West Bengal cadre. A graduate in Chemical Engineering, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, and Managing Director. His extensive career encompassed roles such as Principal Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, and Establishment Officer. Most recently, he was the Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Youth Affairs from December 28, 2020, to January 31, 2023. Throughout his service, Biswas contributed to multiple administrative and leadership positions within the West Bengal government until his retirement.
