Subash Chandra Khuntia, born on November 21, 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Karnataka cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Physics and postgraduate qualifications in Economics and Physics. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Special Secretary and Financial Adviser Equivalent, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Project Coordinator, Administrator, Additional Commissioner, Director, Deputy Secretary, Private Secretary Deputy Equivalent, Deputy Commissioner, Special Deputy Commissioner, Under Secretary, and Assistant Commissioner. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka from October 1, 2016, to November 30, 2017.
