Soumitra Sankar Sengupta, born on March 8, 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Sc. degree and has served in various capacities including Senior Special Secretary, Director, Commissioner, and Managing Director. Currently, he is serving as the Secretary of the Tourism Department since August 1, 2023. Mr. Sengupta continues to contribute to the administrative framework of West Bengal through his ongoing service in the Indian Administrative Service.
