Dr. Sonia Sethi, an IAS officer of the 1994 Maharashtra cadre batch, was born on 29 July 1969. She holds an M.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Oxford and a Ph.D. from Mumbai University. Currently serving as General Manager at Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), Mumbai since 28 September 2025, Dr. Sethi has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Additional Commissioner, Additional DG, Joint Secretary, Transport Commissioner, and District Collector. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi and continues to contribute to public administration in Maharashtra.
