Smita Sarangi, an IAS officer of the 2008 batch from the Nagaland cadre, was born on 25/12/1978. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Utkal University Bhubaneswar, M.A. in N.A. from JNU New Delhi, and M.Phil. in Sociology from JNU New Delhi. With proficiency in English, Hindi, Nagamese, and Oriya, she has served as Adviser to Executive Dir and Director at Finance in the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
