Currently serving as the Additional Divisional Commissioner at Maharashtra's Konkan Division since September 19, 2025, Salimath has previously held positions including Additional Divisional Commissioner, Collector, and Chief Executive Officer. He has been recognized for his contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving awards for registering the maximum number of children for Aadhaar enrollment and for outstanding performance in managing communicable diseases during the crisis.
