Shyamal Ghosh, born on May 3, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1965 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds a graduate degree and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Chief Secretary to Government, and Secretary. His most recent position was Administrator at Gujarat from June 1, 2002, to May 31, 2005, in the Department of Information Technology - Electronics and Communications.
