Shyam Arjunrao Tagade, born on December 4, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 Maharashtra cadre. He served as Principal Secretary to the Government in the Department of Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Mumbai. His educational background includes a Graduate degree in Sociology, a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Nagpur University VRCE Nagpur, and an M.A. in Pali from Mumbai University. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Chairman, Additional Commissioner, CEO, and Assistant Collector. He received the Barrister Math Pai Award for best literature for his book "Bodhisatva Ambedkaranche Buddha Dhamma Mission."
