Shweta Teotia, an IAS officer of the 2011 Gujarat cadre, currently serves as Director at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi since April 2026. Born on April 1, 1984, she holds a B.A. (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Mumbai and an M.A. in Public Policy from IGNOU, New Delhi. Her previous roles include Deputy Director, Director of Administration, District Collector and Magistrate, District Development Officer, Managing Director, Additional Commissioner, Joint Collector, Commissioner (Planning) & Project Director, Sub Collector, and Assistant Collector. She has received awards such as Best District Collector and the BHOOMI SAMMAN Award.
