Shrivastava, born on June 7, 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, a postgraduate degree in Public Policy from Mary and College of Park, USA, and an M.Phil. in Science from Punjab University, New Delhi. His most recent role was Secretary at Madhya Pradesh's Law and Justice Department from October 13, 2017, to February 11, 2020. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Election Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, and District Collector.
