Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department
Shobhana K Pattanayak, born on 23 September 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Karnataka cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Biology and a PhD in Environmental Science from Gulbarga University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Chairman, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary Equivalent, Mission Director, Excise Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Registrar, Administrator, and Secretary. His most recent role was Secretary of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department from 1 February 2016 to 30 September 2018.
