Sheonarayan Misra, born on January 20, 1965, is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering. Currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department since August 2, 2024, Misra has held various key positions including Director General, Vice President, Principal Secretary, Administrator, Managing Director, Secretary, Commissioner, Additional Secretary, District Collector, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Sanskrit and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
